Terms and conditions
These terms describe how ordering from Macrame Space works: how an order becomes an agreement, what the prices mean, and what to do if something is wrong.

Who you are buying from
Macrame Space is a small handmade workshop run by Olena Borysova. Everything sold here is made by hand in the workshop. You can reach us through any of the channels on the Contacts page.
Everything is handmade
Each piece is knotted by hand, usually as a single item. Photographs show the actual piece or one made the same way, but small differences in shade, texture and dimensions are part of how handmade work looks. Natural materials such as cotton cord and wood also vary between batches. These variations are a property of the craft, not a fault. If a piece arrives genuinely damaged or not as described, that is a different matter and is covered below.
Prices and currency
Prices are kept in euro. If you are viewing the shop in another currency, the amount you see is converted at an indicative rate that we refresh daily — it is there to give you a sense of the cost, not as a final quotation. The price that actually applies is the one we confirm with you when we accept the order, in the currency we agree on.
How an order is made
Sending the order form is a request, not a completed purchase, and it does not take payment. We contact you using the details you left to confirm that the piece is available and to agree the price, payment and delivery. The agreement between us comes into being when we confirm the order. Until then, either side can simply walk away at no cost.
Payment
We arrange payment individually when we confirm your order, because the sensible method depends on where you are. The site itself never asks for card details and does not process payments.
Delivery
We agree delivery, cost and expected timing with you before you pay. Because pieces are made by hand, an item that is not already finished needs time in the workshop, and we will tell you honestly how long. Once a parcel is handed to a courier or postal service, its progress is in their hands. We will help you chase a delayed or lost parcel, but we cannot control their timescales.
Cancelling and returning
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, and return it in the condition you received it. Tell us within that period and we will refund what you paid for the item. The usual legal exception applies: a piece we made specially to your specification — your colours, your measurements — cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind, because we cannot offer it to anyone else. We will always tell you before we start if your order falls into this category. Return postage is normally yours to pay unless the item was faulty or wrongly sent.
If something is wrong
If a piece arrives damaged, faulty, or materially different from its description, contact us as soon as you can and send a photograph if you are able. We will repair it, replace it, or refund it. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything on this page.
Photographs and designs
The photographs, text and designs on this site belong to the workshop. Please do not reuse them commercially or present our pieces as your own work without asking first. You are very welcome to share a photo of something you bought.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the revision date is shown at the top of the page. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when we confirmed it, so a later change never alters an agreement we have already made.
