Privacy policy
This page explains what personal data Macrame Space collects when you order a piece, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible
Macrame Space is a small handmade workshop run by Olena Borysova. We decide how the data described here is used, and we are the people you contact about it. The quickest way to reach us is the Contacts page.
What we collect when you order
The order form asks for your name and at least one way to reach you: a phone number, a Telegram username, or an email address. You may also leave a comment. Together with this we store the piece and colour you chose, the language you were browsing in, and the price and currency shown to you at that moment, so we can talk about the same order you saw. Only the name is required. Everything else is there so you can pick the contact method you prefer — you do not have to give us all three.
Why we are allowed to use it
We use your contact details to confirm the order, agree delivery and payment, and answer your questions. This is processing necessary to take steps at your request and to perform our agreement with you. We also have a legitimate interest in keeping the shop working: preventing automated spam orders, and understanding roughly how many people visit which pages.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Two small preference cookies remember the language and the currency you chose, so the shop looks the same when you come back. If you sign in to the shop's admin area — which only the owner can do — a session cookie keeps you signed in. Cloudflare Turnstile, the anti-spam check on the order form, may set its own cookie while it verifies that you are a person.
Spam protection and your IP address
To stop a script from flooding the workshop with fake orders, we limit how many orders can come from one place in an hour. We do this without keeping your IP address: it is turned into an irreversible SHA-256 hash, and only that hash is stored. The address itself is never written to our database.
Who else sees your data
Cloudflare hosts the site and stores its database and images, and provides the Turnstile anti-spam check and a cookieless visitor counter that does not profile individuals. When you place an order, its details are sent to the workshop as a Telegram message, so Telegram processes them in order to deliver that notification. Google sign-in is used only by the shop owner to access the admin area. It plays no part in ordering, and customers never sign in. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep an order and its contact details for as long as we need them to complete the order and handle anything that follows from it, such as a return, a warranty question, or an accounting obligation. After that we delete them. Ask us at any time and we will tell you what we still hold.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. Just write to us — you do not need a special form, and it costs nothing. If you are in the EU or the UK and you think we have handled your data badly, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the revision date at the top. There is no archive of previous versions, so if a particular wording matters to you, keep your own copy.
